8-25 100 miles —> 5424 "IT" stopped, I hope. I really flew yesterday.
Breakfast in Livingston; lunch in Red Boiling Sprs and got to Westmoreland at a
quarter to five. I sure as hell put down the liquids yesterday. The land has
flattened out and there's no problem making time. Almost lost my Mariners
T-shirt in Celina but I found it on a bridge only been run over a couple of times.
I must be getting further west the cop had no reservation about where I could stay,
a young cop too. The hot cakes will give the final indication. Talked to two kids,
13, last night; the rough ones in town. Smokin' cigs & talkin' 'bout chicks &

'cycles. I wish I could talk to them longer; maybe interest them in college. Fat
chance, they really couldn't understand why I want to see the country. Slept real
good last night. Boy I hope the music on the jukebox is not an indication of what's
